After the Sith extinction, some sith supporters fled and founded a secret society called The Prophets of the Dark Side. At first all they did was worship the past dark lords and the sith. But they grew in number and started to train through the arts of light saber combat and further more the usage and mastery of force through the dark side.
It is not confirmed but there were suggestions that they wanted to revive M. Ragnos and restore a sith empire. They made pacts with old monarquists and this was found out by the Jedi Order in the storyline: " The undying Vendetta"
Yet the worse has not been revealed about them...
